DUKE Stages Cancelled

Unfortunately due to a lack of entries, Druidale Motor Club have been forced to cancel the forthcoming Duke Stages. The event was due to run on the 30th November and the 1st December, but with only a few days left before the final date for entries only 11 had been received by event organisers.

It was a very hard decision for the Druidale Motor Club Committee and all involved with the Duke Stages, including event sponsor Peter Duke to make. The minimum number of entries in the regulations was 25 but it had been decided to run with 20 if they were received, unfortunately the lower target was not even reached.

Druidale Motor Club would like to thank Peter Duke for his continued support and enthusiasm and it is hoped that the event can come back strong in 2008 with the support of Peter and DUKE Video.

Also thanks has to go to Richard Beaumont who has put in so much time and effort towards organising this event for both the original date (replaced by the Jurby Stages due to Foot and Mouth) and also the new date. Richard has been the spear head for this event since it's introduction into the Manx Rallying Calendar and it is hoped that he will remain at the helm for the 2008 event.

The dates for the 2008 Druidale Motor Club stage events are:-

                                                               14th June                Jurby Stages
                                                      12th-13th September     Duke Stages
